Browse and add Bots from the official marketplace
The official Bot Marketplace is the curated place to browse and add packaged Grok Bot templates. That path is different from clicking a random share link you found in a thread.
Open official marketplace @bot announcement Haggle build story
@bot announced the marketplace on 2026-09-04. The “See them all” link in that thread opens https://x.ai/bot/marketplace. They also shared Haggle Bot, SpaceXAI’s in-house procurement specialist, as an early example (vendor contracts, unused SaaS seats, price checks). The savings figure in that post is company-supplied. SpaceXAI said they are packaging team use cases into templates and will keep adding more from Grok Bot users.
Open the marketplace
- 1. Go to https://x.ai/bot/marketplace (or follow the link from the @bot announcement).
- 2. Browse by category (Engineering, Marketing, Operations, Sales, and the rest of the list on the page).
- 3. Read the short job line under each Bot before you open it.
- 4. Open a Bot’s preview page when you want the full description.
You need the Grok Bot app to finish Add to Grok Bot. Preview in the browser first.
How Add works
- 1. On the preview page, read the name, creator, job, and any listed skills or routines.
- 2. Read the third-party notice on the page. Shared Bots are created by other users (or packaged configs), not by SpaceXAI. Clicking Add to Grok Bot accepts the third-party bot terms when that notice applies.
- 3. Choose Add to Grok Bot.
- 4. Finish in the app. Rename the Bot and tighten the description for your scope before you assign real work.
- 5. Connect only the plugins and logins that job needs. Start with read-only tasks and drafts.
What does not transfer
Adding a shared Bot creates a copy on your account. You get the shared configuration: identity, description, skills, and routines.
You do not get:
- The publisher’s cloud computer
- Their browser logins or connector authorizations
- Their conversation history or learned memory
- Their chat attachments
Your new copy still lands on your shared computer. Files and sessions you add later are available to every Bot on your account.
Scrub before you share (your own Bots)
If you publish or share a Bot of your own, the link is public. Anyone with it can see the shared configuration.
Before you share, remove:
- API keys and tokens
- Internal URLs
- Customer data
- Anything else you would not put in a public document
Sharing is not a security boundary. It copies config. It does not share your computer or logins, but it does expose whatever you left in the description, skills, and routines.
Preview, then vet, then least privilege, then watched run
Use this every time, marketplace or random link:
- 1. Preview. Read the job and config before Add.
- 2. Vet. Look for secrets, risky instructions, and scopes you do not want on your roster.
- 3. Least privilege. After Add, connect only what the job needs.
- 4. Watched run. Run one real task while you watch. Keep sending, purchasing, deleting, publishing, and production changes behind approval until you trust the boundaries.
Marketplace vs random share links
The marketplace is a curated browse page. Start there when you are learning Add.
A random share link is a public x.ai/bot/... preview from anyone. It uses the same Add mechanics and the same scrub and vet rules.
Both paths can land a useful Bot. The marketplace is the product's packaged shelf. Random links need the same vetting, not less.
First move
Open https://x.ai/bot/marketplace, pick one Bot whose job matches work you already do, preview it, then walk Add, then least privilege, then a watched run. Leave it unattended only after that first watched pass.
