# Grok Bot can now pay with X Money or Stripe Link

*News · Oct. 14, 2026*

Grok Bots can now pay with X Money or Stripe Link, show supported apps as interactive cards in chat, and find a Bot template from a plain-language description, according to SpaceXAI's official Grok Bot changelog.

The top entry is version 0.70.2, dated Oct. 11, 2026, titled "Bot email addresses, X search, and in-chat apps." It also includes 0.69.0, 0.69.1, 0.70.0, and 0.70.1. The page still showed v0.68.1 as the latest entry on the morning of Oct. 13. By the morning of Oct. 14, v0.70.2 was on top, though it is dated Oct. 11.

The changelog does not say which plans get X Money or Stripe Link, what fees apply, or which regions are supported.

## Pay, show the app, find a template

Under New, the entry lists several product lines that matter for day-to-day work:

- **Payments.** "Bots can pay with X Money or Stripe Link."

- **In-chat apps.** "Connectors that come with an app, such as Figma, Notion, and Canva, can show it as an interactive card in the chat."

- **Template finder.** "Bots can find a Bot template that fits what you describe and link it in the chat."

- **New connectors.** QuickBooks Online is available to connect. Adding Glean asks for your Glean MCP URL and connects it after you sign in to Glean in your browser.

- **Files from the Bot's browser.** Bots can save a web page as a PDF and send audio files such as MP3, M4A, and WAV.

- **Shared pages.** Shared pages have a title bar with Download (saves a PDF), plus Try Grok Bot for visitors and Share for the owner. You can rename a page from its title.

- **Mac unread filter.** On Mac, View Unread in the View menu shows only Bots with unread messages in the sidebar.

- **Find in page.** Press Cmd+F or Ctrl+F on an open page to search it.

Two items in the same New list are already covered on grokbot.guru: Bots claiming their own email address ([native Bot email](/native-bot-email/)) and searching X without connecting an X account ([tag @bot on X](/tag-bot-on-x/) and the computer-and-apps docs).

## A check before anything you can't undo

The Improved section hardens the approval path. "Before an action it can't undo, such as sending, posting, buying, or deleting, a Bot checks your own messages for approval," the changelog says.

Related lines in the same block:

- After a bank or brokerage connector returns data, the Bot asks before sharing it anywhere else.

- After saving a routine, the Bot sums up what it does and who receives the result, and each run delivers there.

- The full-screen computer view opens in Watching until you press Take control.

That irreversible-action check sits next to the stop signs you already write into a Bot's description. ([Basics #3, Stop signs](/basics-stop-signs-approvals/).) The changelog does not say how the new check interacts with Disable drafts, Auto-review Always allow rules, or Team Bot manager approvals.

## Staff tour, then Elon's amplify

Matt Palmer, whose X bio reads "cursor & @bot at @spacexsi," posted a chaptered "What's new in Grok Bot" video at 9:07 a.m. CT Oct. 13. The chapters cover Bot email, X search, Shopify, color, email drafts, the Bot's computer, template search, PR previews and routine right-clicks, and five new languages. He closed with, "Lots new in @bot this week! More on the way."

Elon Musk quote-posted the video at 4:45 p.m. CT the same day: "Latest upgrades to Grok @Bot." By about 11:52 a.m. CT Oct. 14, that post had more than 4,600 likes and about 1.13 million views.

## Other changes worth a glance

- Teammates can approve Auto-review requests, including Always allow, from their own direct message with a Team Bot.

- When you give a Bot a connector link, it installs the matching plugin from the catalog when there is one.

- Bots can wait for a background command on their computer to finish, shown as Waiting on results.

- Connector calls fail less often: Bots fix wrongly shaped arguments and accept Notion links and Slack channel names before sending.

- When a connector rate-limits your account, Bots wait for the retry delay instead of calling it in a loop.

- Usage & Billing shows your plan name on Current plan, and the usage meter labels its percentage as used.

> **What to do with it**
> - Treat pay-capable Bots like send-capable Bots. Put buying behind a stop sign in the description, and watch the new irreversible-action check the first time a Bot tries to spend.
> - Ask a Bot to find a template for the job you already planned ([How do you plan a bot?](/how-do-you-plan-a-bot/)), then read the template page before you add it.
> - If you use Notion, Figma, or Canva through a connector, open a task that should show the app card and confirm the interactive card appears before you rely on it in a workflow.
> - Re-read [Connect apps](/basics-connect-apps/) before you add QuickBooks Online or Glean. Installed connectors are account-wide.
