# Where Grok Bot keeps the files, pages and decks your Bots make

*Beginner · How-to · Oct. 24, 2026*

A Bot's work doesn't stay in the chat scroll. Files, pages and links a Bot shares are also kept in that Bot's Library, and a Sept. 28 changelog entry describes a Library tab "listing the pages, files, and links it has shared, grouped into Today, This week, and Older."

Bots now make more kinds of output. Since early October, the official changelog says, Bots can deliver slide decks "as PowerPoint files or Google Slides" (v0.68.1, Oct. 7), "save a web page as a PDF from their browser and send audio files such as MP3, M4A, and WAV" (v0.70.2, Oct. 11), build Pages (v0.75.2, Oct. 22) and "create videos from a description or from an image you share" (v0.75.2).

Here's where all of it goes and what you can do with it.

## In the chat

Files show up in the chat first. "Files and images Bots send from their computer arrive in the chat, ahead of any question card," the v0.70.2 notes say.

- **Open it.** Click the file. An HTML file a Bot made "shows a preview, with Source for the code" (v0.31.0). Spreadsheet previews let you select cells, copy with Cmd/Ctrl+C and "show up to 10,000 rows" (Sept. 17 entry).

- **Download it.** "Download an attachment from the message menu, or use Download all when a message has several" (Aug. 19 entry). Pictures and videos open full screen "with download, close, and playback controls" (v0.49.0), and captioned images "offer Copy and Download on hover" (v0.75.2). A diagram in the chat downloads "as a PNG image" (Aug. 25 entry).

- **Open a file path.** If the Bot writes a file path in a message, "Click a file path in a message to open that file from your Bot's computer" (v0.49.0). Opening a file while the Bot's computer is asleep "wakes it and opens the file" (v0.70.2).

## In the Library

On desktop, click the Bot's name at the top of the chat to open its details. The Pages help page says to open the Library tab from there. The Oct. 22 release notes describe a redesigned details pane with Media, Computer and Routines tabs and don't name a Library tab, so the label on your screen may differ from the help page.

"The Library lists the pages, files, and apps the Bot has made," the help page says. Hover over a row and you get "a preview with who sent the item, when, and who can see a Page" (v0.75.2).

To keep something handy, pin it. "You can pin Library pages, files, and links to a Pinned section that stays at the top and syncs across your devices" (v0.75.2). On a page's row, the More actions button (three dots) shows Open, Share… and Pin, per the help page.

The help page gives Library steps for desktop only.

## Search

Search covers attachments too. Search "finds message text and attachment names in all chats, including the open one" (v0.70.2), and "Files search finds files on your Bot's computer" (Aug. 19 entry).

## Sharing

How you share depends on what the Bot made.

- **A page:** Pages have their own Share menu with three levels: people you invite, your team, or anyone with the link. A public link needs no sign-in, so the help page says to share that way "only when the page holds nothing private." Shared pages also have "a title bar with Download, which saves a PDF" (v0.70.2). Our full walk-through is in [Make your first Grok Bot page](/make-your-first-grok-bot-page/), and the launch story is [Grok Bot now builds pages](/grok-bot-pages-reports-dashboards/).

- **A file:** Ask the Bot to put it somewhere. Bots "can upload files to Google Drive or OneDrive, or attach them to a Gmail draft" (v0.53.0). The built-in Gmail connection "can attach files to drafts and sends" (v0.75.2), and a Bot can forward an email from its own inbox "with its original formatting, images, and attachments" (v0.75.5, Oct. 23).

- **A deck:** Ask for PowerPoint or Google Slides (v0.68.1).

## What to do with it

- Pin the files you reuse so they sit at the top of the Library on every device.

- Say the format you want when you ask: PDF, PowerPoint, Google Slides, spreadsheet or a page.

- Want a file somewhere else? Ask the Bot to send it to Drive, OneDrive or a Gmail draft instead of downloading and re-uploading it.

- Treat "anyone with the link" on a page as public.
