# Official template pack: Founder Mode for early sales

*How-to · Oct. 9, 2026*

If [How do you plan a bot?](/how-do-you-plan-a-bot/) left you staring at a blank description box, SpaceXAI now has an official sales pack you can install instead of inventing the roster yourself.

"Grok Bot for Founder-Led Sales," published Oct. 6, 2026, on x.ai, is written by Simon Lackowski, who works with founders in the Grok for Startups program. The guide's setup is called Founder Mode: one chief of staff bot, eight specialists, four sidebar folders, 16 paused routines, and a shared data folder.

This is an official x.ai/bot guide, not a community kit. Discovery credit: it showed up in the Awesome Grok Bot list on Oct. 9.

## What you get

Lackowski's getting-started section says installing Founder Mode gives you:

- One chief of staff bot (Founder Mode), the only bot you talk to day to day

- Four folders: Pipeline, Customers, Product, Marketing

- Eight specialist bots

- Sixteen paused routines

- A shared data folder

Onboarding asks about 20 questions covering company, pitch, voice samples, ICP, target accounts, competitors, P0 definition, connectors, and which routines to turn on. "Every routine stays paused until you confirm your preferred schedule," the guide says.

## The eight specialists

Each bot owns one job. From the guide:

- **Sell Bot (Pipeline):** Pre-call briefs from calendar, Granola notes, and the stakeholder map; after a call, drafts the recap, follow-up, and any proposed stage update. "Proposals, pricing, and contracts always need my approval."

- **Outreach Bot (Pipeline):** Stages the daily outbound batch at 7 a.m.; cold emails, a follow-up cadence, and LinkedIn notes. It reads the deal tracker first and skips active deals or do-not-contact names. The whole batch waits for approval.

- **Inbox Bot (Customers):** Checks support email twice a day, tags and ranks items, drafts replies, and appends to a shared feedback log. P0 issues escalate to Founder Mode right away.

- **Insights Bot (Customers):** Clusters feedback once a week and ranks themes by frequency and pipeline affected.

- **Product Bot (Product):** Turns a ranked theme into a short spec, a GitHub issue, and a draft pull request from a cloud agent. "It never merges."

- **Stalk Bot (Product):** Watches competitors from its own research email. "It never posts and never contacts anyone."

- **Content Bot (Marketing):** Drafts LinkedIn and X posts, case studies, launch notes, and a weekly calendar. Lackowski posts by hand.

- **Social Bot (Marketing):** Scans trends on weekday mornings, drafts replies, and hands engagers to Outreach Bot as warm leads.

Founder Mode merges the others' work into one daily action list at 8 a.m., runs a Friday pipeline and win/loss digest, checks incoming revenue on Mondays, and once a month drafts an investor update.

## Connectors he names

Lackowski's own stack in the guide: Gmail and Calendar (drafts and read only), a deal tracker CSV, LinkedIn and X (read and draft only; he posts by hand), and Granola for call notes. Optional later: HubSpot or Attio, GitHub for Product Bot, Stripe or Mercury for a cash check, and Zapier or Make for live webhooks.

Your stack can differ. The point is the same as our Basics stop-sign piece: name what each bot may touch, and keep sends, posts, merges, and CRM writes behind approval.

## One job, then handoffs

The guide maps the pack onto six founder steps: define ICP, find design partners, prep first meetings, build a first playbook, run pipeline and forecasting, and feed product from customer feedback.

Handoffs are explicit. Insights Bot and Social Bot pass warm leads to Outreach Bot. A reply becomes a Sell Bot brief. Feedback goes Inbox to Insights. When a theme clears Lackowski's threshold, Product Bot specs it. Inbox Bot closes the loop after a ship. Content Bot tells the story. Founder Mode rolls it into one list.

That is the same "one job per bot" rule from [How do you plan a bot?](/how-do-you-plan-a-bot/), written as a small team instead of one lonely agent.

## Copy-ready Monday scan

The guide includes a Monday design-partner scan prompt you paste into Founder Mode. In short, it asks the bot to find ICP matches that posted about a problem or hired for a role that week, rank them with a signal link, skip current customers and open conversations, find a warm path, draft a first touch that opens on the signal, sort KEEP / HOLD / DQ, and put drafts in Gmail Drafts only.

Full wording lives on the guide page. Do not treat our summary as the install text.

## Guardrails Lackowski insists on

- Never auto-send. Bots research, draft, and stage. Nothing is sent, posted, published, or merged until approved, including CRM logs and invoice finalization.

- Warm intro over a cold template when Social Bot finds a path.

- Signal beats title.

- Feedback given twice becomes a saved instruction.

- Discovery, pricing, and the "yes" call stay with the founder.

## When to use it

Use Founder Mode when you are still the sales team and want a roster that stages work overnight without sending anything.

Skip it, or start smaller, if you only need one job today. A single Outreach or Inbox bot with a clear never-list is closer to the Basics path. The [official Bot marketplace](/official-bot-marketplace/) and our [template kit spotlight](/template-kit-grok-bot-templates/) are other shelves if you want a different starter.

SpaceXAI also published [Grok Bot for Performance Marketing](https://x.ai/bot/guides/grok-bot-for-performance-marketing) on Oct. 5 (four shareable bots: Fuse, Tally, Leadsworth, Iris). That is a separate pack for paid media, not covered in depth here.

## How to call it

1. Open [https://x.ai/bot/guides/grok-bot-for-founder-led-sales](https://x.ai/bot/guides/grok-bot-for-founder-led-sales) and read the full guide once.

2. In a fresh Grok Bot environment, install the Founder Mode setup pack. Lackowski's closer: "Ask the Founder-led sales setup bot to get you started."

3. Answer the onboarding questions. Leave every routine paused until you pick schedules.

4. Connect only the tools you already use. Keep drafts on for email and social.

5. Run one Monday scan or one overnight action list with you approving every send. Widen from there.
