# Grok Bot now has its own email inbox

*News · Oct. 10, 2026*

Grok Bot now has its own email address, according to the official @bot account.

"Grok Bot now has its own email," @bot posted on X on Oct. 9, 2026, at 12:25 p.m. CT. "Bot can use it to sign up for services, contact businesses for you, or schedule time with someone."

A follow-up in the same thread, one second later, said the feature is rolling out the same day. "Rolling out to users today. To claim your inbox, just ask Bot or tag @bot on X," @bot wrote. "Admins must enable it for their team."

An earlier reply at 12:16 p.m. CT used almost the same claim wording, without the "or tag @bot on X" line. Its parent post was not available through the X API when Scout checked Oct. 10.

As of this writing, a native Bot inbox is not listed on [https://x.ai/changelog/bot](https://x.ai/changelog/bot). The newest entry there is still v0.68.1 (Oct. 7, 2026). That release covers formatted email sent from a connected Gmail draft card, Spam search, and related Gmail fixes. Those are sends and reads through a user's connected Gmail, not a Bot-owned inbox. The @bot posts do not name the domain, plan limits, retention, send approvals, or custom-domain support.

## What to do with it

1. Ask your Bot to claim its inbox, or tag @bot on X as the follow-up describes. If you are on a team, confirm an admin has turned the feature on before you spend time troubleshooting.

2. Treat first sends as draft-and-approve work. Keep signups, vendor mail, and calendar invites behind a stop sign until you have watched a few runs. See [Stop signs](/basics-stop-signs-approvals/).

3. Do not confuse this with the older Gmail draft-card path in v0.68.1. Connected Gmail still sends as you from your account; this is a Bot-owned address for the jobs @bot named.
