# When one Bot hires another, turn off the helper's pings

Bots can create other Bots to help with a job. Official help calls those helpers. A helper Bot appears in your sidebar and notifies you the same way a Bot you made yourself does, including on your phone.

If you wanted the extra work done and not a new stream of alerts, you have two controls.

To stop alerts for that helper and keep it visible: on desktop, ask the helper Bot to turn off its notifications. On the phone, open the helper's chat, tap its name at the top, and turn off Notifications. The note there is "Get notified when this Bot finishes or is waiting for you."

To take it out of the main list as well: on desktop, right-click the Bot in the sidebar and choose Hide from sidebar. A hidden Bot stays active and keeps its history. It does not send notifications. To bring it back, open Hidden Bots at the bottom of the sidebar, right-click the Bot, and choose Show in sidebar. On the phone, open Show Hidden Bots and choose Unhide.

A shared Bot your admin added to your sidebar has no Hide from sidebar option.

Ray Fernando, in a coding walkthrough, set a project Bot to spin up specialists and then let those specialists talk to each other. Fernando said the main agent was "not really pinging me at all," which kept the phone quiet while the extra Bots did the follow-through. If your helpers are the noisy kind, hide them or turn their notifications off rather than deleting them. Deleting a Bot erases its conversations, memory and routines.
