# Put Bots in sidebar sections. That is not a security wall.

*Tip · Nov. 6, 2026*

When the sidebar is a long stack of Bots, it is hard to find the one you meant. Grok Bot lets you group them into sections without creating extra accounts.

On desktop, right-click a Bot in the sidebar and choose Move to new section. After you have a section, right-click and choose Move to, then pick a section or choose Create section. Right-click the section name and choose Rename if you want it to match a project, a client or a part of your life.

On iPhone, touch and hold a Bot. Tap New Section, or tap Move to and pick a section you already have, then name it. Sidebar sections on iOS need Grok Bot 1.2.0 or later; update from the App Store if you do not see those choices.

Sections sync between desktop and iOS. Deleting a section does not delete the Bots in it. They move to Unassigned.

You can also pin a Bot so it stays at the top, or hide one from the sidebar. Hide from sidebar removes a Bot from the main list without deleting its work or pausing its routines. Open Hidden Bots at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Show in sidebar when you want it back.

Creators use this the same way the help page describes it. Marlon Roldan keeps a personal group and a business group, and shows new Bots landing in Unassigned until they are moved. Ray Fernando, in a walkthrough, moved a project team into a section named after the app.

What a section does not do: it does not give those Bots their own computer, their own browser logins or their own connected apps. Official docs say the roster shares one cloud computer, and that you should not treat separate Bots as a security boundary. If you sign into a site on that computer, or connect Gmail, every Bot on your account can use that sign-in or that connection. Use approvals, Auto-review and Vault for anything you would not want the whole roster to touch. Use sections to find the right chat.
