Share one Grok Bot with your whole team, step by step

Beginner · How-to · Oct. 31, 2026

If you're on a Cursor team, you can share a Bot the way you'd share a doc. Sharing doesn't make a copy. Everyone talks to the same Bot, and each person's chat with it is private, according to Grok Bot's help page on shared Bots.

Shared Bots always run in the cloud. A Bot that runs on your own computer can't be shared.

Before you start

Choose + in the sidebar. If you see Browse shared Bots, you're set. If you don't, you aren't on a Cursor team, or your Grok Bot app needs an update.

1. Make the Bot

  1. Choose + in the sidebar, then Create a Bot, and give it a name.
  2. Tell the Bot what it should help the team with. A sentence is enough, the help page says.
  3. Follow its setup steps for apps, secrets, skills and files.

You can also share a Bot you already have.

2. Check what it carries

The apps, secrets, skills and files you give a shared Bot work in every teammate's chat. The help page's advice: only add keys and files you're happy for everyone you share it with to use.

3. Share it

  1. Click the Bot's name at the top of the chat and choose Share.
  2. Under Who has access, pick your team to share with everyone, or People you invite to share with only the people and groups you add.
  3. Choose Add people or groups. Under Add as, pick Collaborator if the person should only chat with the Bot, or Manager if they should also change its instructions, skills, memory and apps.

To stop sharing, open Share again and remove access.

4. Tell teammates where to find it

Teammates choose + in the sidebar, then Browse shared Bots, and choose Add to keep the Bot in their sidebar. On a phone with Grok Bot 1.19.0 or later, they tap +, then Browse shared Bots. You can also send them the Bot's link, and they choose Start a chat.

What teammates should know

Edit or delete it later

The owner and Managers can change a shared Bot: click its name at the top of the chat, or choose the wrench at the top right to open Bot settings. Only the owner can delete it, by right-clicking it in the sidebar and choosing Delete. That removes it for the whole team, along with teammates' chats and routines on it, and it can't be undone.
