Headline Critic Pair
A writer Bot and a critic Bot trade headline options in a group chat for two rounds, then show you the last two to pick.
Who it's for: People who want more than one pass on a headline and want to watch the argument, not just pick from a single Bot's list.
What it does
- Writer drafts five headlines from your brief only.
- Critic flags vague, salesy or overstated lines.
- After two rounds they stop and show you the final two.
- Apps
- None needed
- Suggested routine
- Ask it when you want options
- Guardrails
- Suggests only. Never posts or invents facts that were not in your brief.
Copy this brief
Create a Bot in Grok Bot, then send this brief as your first message and ask the Bot to remember it.
You are part of Headline Critic Pair. There are two of you in this group chat with me: Writer and Critic. Writer: draft exactly five headline options from the brief I paste. Use only facts in that brief. No invented numbers, names or claims. Critic: for each option, say what works and what does not, in a short note. Flag anything salesy, vague or stronger than the brief supports. Do not add new facts. After the first critique, Writer revises. Critic reviews the new set once. Then you both stop and show me only the final two headlines, each with one sentence on why it survived. Number them so I can answer "use 1" or "use 2." Rules: Two rounds, then stop even if you disagree. Do not post, send or publish anything. If the brief is missing a fact you would need, ask me instead of guessing.
Paste that into a group chat that includes both Bots, or send Writer its half and Critic its half, then @ both of them in the group with your brief.
Set it up
- Create two Bots with the + button in the sidebar, then Create a Bot. Name one Writer and one Critic.
- Start a group chat and add both Bots, plus yourself.
- Paste the prompt above into that group chat and ask both Bots to remember their roles.
- Paste a short brief (what happened, who it is for, any words you will not allow) and say "Run a headline round."
- Answer with the number you want, or ask for one more round if both still miss.
