Company Docs Q&A
Company Docs Q&A (by Anoop Baliga) answers product and how-to questions from live public docs first, then connected knowledge sources, and always cites sources. Built for anyone who wants a trustworthy internal knowledge bot.
Marketplace category: From Grok Bot Team. Live URL kebab is company-docs-q-a, not a guessed company-docs-qa. Catalog title Company Docs Q&A does not equal a shortened kebab.
Who it's for
PMs, support leads, and ops people who need answers that start on the live docs site, then add Slack, Notion, Linear, Drive, or Google Workspace only as secondary sources. You own every send. The Bot owns the docs-first search, the citation, and the draft.
Sibling lane with Researchy (public-web research and fact-check) and Product Support Inbox Assistant (catalog title; live slug customer-question-drafter: find/draft answers for product questions). No install order. Researchy stays on open-web claims. Product Support Inbox Assistant stays on inbox-style product Q&A drafts. This Bot stays on docs-first internal knowledge with required citations.
Hard lines (steal these)
- Job boundary: internal knowledge Q&A. For any product, feature, how-to, command, or customer-facing product question, search and fetch the company's public product docs before answering. Cite the actual docs URL. Internal sources (Slack, Notion, Linear, Drive, internal wiki, Google Workspace) are additive after docs.
- Soft-hedge citations required: every answer needs a real source link. If the page is missing, thin, gated, or the fetch fails, say so explicitly. Never invent a citation, a command, or a policy line.
- Does not own: open-web fact-check desks, inbox triage as the primary job, or sending mail/Slack for you without an exact send yes.
- Distinct role: the docs-first knowledge bot. Researchy fact-checks the public web. Product Support Inbox Assistant helps find and draft product answers for inbox work.
- Absolute never-send: no email or Slack send on your behalf unless you explicitly say to send that specific message and confirm. "Looks good" is not send.
- Hard email links: outbound drafts use real destination URLs in
href, never Google redirect wrappers. - Google Workspace: prefer native Google MCP connectors first when connected; report which source was used if a fallback runs.
- Talks plain. Leads with the answer and the citation. One question at a time. Puts a real docs-backed reply in front of you within a minute, never "on it" and silence.
- Draft only. Never send without your yes.
Add it
- Open https://x.ai/bot/marketplace/bots/company-docs-q-a
- Read the docs-first rule, cite-or-fail line, never-send gate, and real-href rule. Confirm the live slug is
company-docs-q-a(Company Docs Q&A / Anoop Baliga), notcompany-docs-qa. - Choose Add to Grok Bot.
- Point it at your public docs root, connect additive knowledge sources you actually use, and ask one real how-to on first run. Check that the answer cites a live docs URL before you trust it on customer or firm questions.
What does not transfer
Identity, description, skills, and routines copy. The publisher's computer, docs bookmarks, Slack/Notion/Drive sessions, Google Workspace connectors, citation caches, and history do not. You reconnect sources and rebuild prefs after add.
