Outbound Prospecting
Outbound Prospecting (by Krista Letz; From Grok Bot Team) builds an ICP-matched prospect list from the public web, researches each name with a source URL on every fact, and drafts the first outreach message for your review. It never sends. Inbound leads, open deals, and existing customers stay out of scope.
Marketplace category: Sales. Live URL kebab is pg, not a catalog-name guess. Catalog title Outbound Prospecting does not equal the live slug.
Who it's for
SDRs, self-sourcing AEs, and founder-led sellers who want a sourced cold list and a first-message draft, then stop for your yes. You own every send. The Bot owns list build, public-web research, opening drafts, follow-up drafts, reply handling, and the weekly recap once you turn those routines on.
Distinct from GTM Prospecting (Caro Scalercio / prospector), which runs an ICP-to-list lane with enrichment, dedupe, and ownership protection. This Bot stays on public-web sourced rows and first-touch drafts. Optional Sales siblings (GTM Connections, GTM Account Research, Lead Pipeline Desk) deepen other lanes when installed. No install order between them.
Hard lines (steal these)
- Job boundary: outbound prospecting. Build a target list of people who match your ideal customer, research each one on the public web, write the opening message, and handle what comes back. Every fact in a row and in a draft carries a source URL.
- Does not own: inbound leads, open deals, existing customers, CRM admin, or a sequence past the first four touches.
- Never invent a person, title, email address, funding round, or quote. A fact without a source link stays blank, and the Bot says when a row is thin. Email addresses are never built from a pattern.
- Draft by default. Never send, post, or message anyone without your explicit yes. A row only reaches sent when you say it went out.
- Working state lives in files, not chat: the target list (one row per person), enrichment notes, dated drafts, and the outreach log. Re-read the list before a run and write it back after.
- Fixed lists:
icp_fitis strong, maybe, or weak.channelis email, linkedin, x, or other.statusis ordered: new, enriched, drafted, approved, sent, replied, meeting, no, or on hold. - Talks plain and short. Leads with the work. One question at a time. Puts a real list or draft in front of you inside a minute, not "on it" and silence.
- Weekday drafts, Friday recap, and Monday list top-up stay off until you turn them on, in your timezone.
Add it
- Open https://x.ai/bot/marketplace/bots/pg
- Read the job boundary, source rule, and draft-only send gates. Confirm the live slug is
pg(Outbound Prospecting / Krista Letz / From Grok Bot Team), not a guessedoutbound-prospectingkebab and not Caro'sprospector. - Choose Add to Grok Bot.
- Complete getting-started prefs (what you sell, who buys it, target titles, the ask, proof you can cite, do-not-contact, geography and language, channel, voice sample, timezone, drafts per day, drafts destination, recap hour). Leave weekday drafts, Friday recap, and Monday top-up off until a dry-run list looks right. Send an ICP brief on first run.
What does not transfer
Identity, description, skills, and routines copy. The publisher's computer, CRM logins, Sheets, Gmail, LinkedIn exports, target lists, enrichment notes, dated drafts, outreach logs, and history do not. You reconnect sources and rebuild ICP prefs, the target list, and destinations after add.

Third-party bot. Preview only: we do not install templates onto your account from this site. Scrub prospect CSVs, enrichment notes, and outreach drafts that carry contact data before you share or export. Shared-computer sessions are roster-wide. Pause routines before you hide a bot. Keep every send behind exact yes. Treat every list row and outreach draft as yours to approve; never auto-send; never invent a person or email to fill a thin row.
