Musk says users can unpin Grok Bot from X messages
Grok Bot now shows up pinned at the top of the message inbox on X, and Elon Musk said Oct. 31 that users who don't want it there can unpin it.
"Just unpin it if you don't want it there," Musk wrote in an X reply Oct. 31. "We just don't want people to use once and then forget they have it."
Musk was answering Mark Pincus, who had posted just before that pinning Grok Bot to the top of his inbox felt "aggressive" and a bit embarrassing, especially since he already had it. In a later reply summarized by the news site Digg, Pincus said he didn't know how to unpin it.
The changelog is still quiet. As of Sunday morning, the official Grok Bot changelog still listed version 0.78.1, from Oct. 27, as its newest entry. There is still no 1.0 entry.
What to do with it
If the pinned Grok Bot chat crowds your X inbox, Musk's answer is to unpin it. If you use it every day, leave it where it is.
