What Grok Bot is (and what it isn’t)
Grok Bot is a named AI teammate on a persistent cloud computer. You message it like a coworker. It signs into the apps you already use, finishes the job in those tools, and comes back when something needs your approval.
In the docs and the app, a Bot is one persistent agent: one teammate with a name, memory, and a job.
What you get
Your Bots share one cloud computer: browser, filesystem, and terminal. Files, browser sessions, and preferences stick across turns. Several Bots can run in parallel; each gets its own screen on that shared machine.
They message each other in threads or group chats and pass work so you are not the router between tools.
You can walk a Bot through a multi-step path once. It can save that path and re-run it later on demand or on a schedule.
The same Bot is reachable from the desktop app and from mobile.
What it isn’t
It is not a disposable chat tab. Context compounds. It does not reset every time you open a thread.
It is not a separate computer per Bot. Isolation is per user account. Every Bot you run shares that one machine, so treat a login or file on it as available to all of them. If a workload needs its own credentials and machine, give it its own Cursor user.
It is not a workflow builder you have to wire before you start. Create a Bot, send a task, and grant access as needed.
First handoff
Pick a real job that crosses a few tools and has a clear finished result. Say what to do, where to work, and what you want back. Review the output, correct it, then save the process as a skill or routine when it holds up.
