Ask your Bot for a Page instead of a screenshot

Tip · Nov. 5, 2026

A chat reply is fine when the answer is a short list or a one-line total. It falls short when people need to filter a table, flip a chart or try a control themselves. Pasting a screenshot of that reply is worse: the picture goes stale the moment the Bot updates the numbers, and nobody can click anything on it.

Ask for a Page instead, then send the Page link.

  1. Decide if a memo is enough. If the answer is a handful of lines you can read once and move on, stay in chat. If someone will reopen it, change a filter or hand it to a teammate who wasn't in the thread, ask for a Page.
  2. Say what belongs on it. Name the data and the shape: "Make a Page from this sheet with a filterable table of open deals and a chart of wins by week." The Bot builds the Page and posts a card you can open. Official help says a Page can hold text, tables, charts and controls such as filters and switches.
  3. Say who can open it before you share. A new Page starts private to you. When you share, the help page lists Who can view choices at a high level: people you invite (on a personal account that reads Only you), your Cursor team, or anyone with the link. Team and invite links need a Cursor sign-in; a public link does not. Skip "anyone with the link" when the Page holds private work.
  4. Send the link, not a picture. Copy the Page link and share that. People who can open it read the live Page and use its controls. Only the Bot edits the Page itself, so ask in chat when something on it should change.

You don't need a Page for every answer. Use one when the reader needs to poke at the data, and keep the chat memo when a short note will do.
