Grok Bot 0.78.1 adds shopping cards, order tracking and subscription help
Grok Bot 0.78.1, released Oct. 27, shows products as cards when a Bot shops for you, tracks orders after you buy, and lets Bots cancel a subscription after checking with you, according to the official changelog.
The release, titled "Shopping cards and subscription templates," also includes 0.78.0. It follows 0.77.0, which grokbot.guru covered in Grok Bot 0.77.0 adds Import Memory, a Permissions page and Vault payments.
Shopping and orders
"Shopping with a Bot shows products as cards with photos, rating, price, and store, plus up to two badges such as Top rated," the changelog says.
Three or four results scroll in a carousel, and you can swipe through each product's photos, the notes say.
"On a product page, in-stock options come first, options no store has are disabled, and Buy now starts an order you approve."
After a purchase, the Bot keeps watching it. "After you place an order, the Bot tracks it and tells you when it ships or arrives, and shipment cards show the carrier and stage," the changelog says.
Shop Pay in the Vault
"Connect Shop Pay in the Vault's Payments tab, then pick it in Pay with or make it the payment method Bots use first," the notes say.
The Payments tab arrived in 0.77.0. The Vault itself came in 0.75.5, covered in Grok Bot gets a Vault for your logins, cards and contact info.
Subscriptions
"Bots can cancel a subscription or look up its price and renewal date, and confirm with you before changing anything," the changelog says.
The release lists three new subscription templates. According to the notes, one starts a free trial for you and cancels it, or reminds you, before it bills. A second cancels plans you pick from the ones you still pay for. A third checks renewal prices.

What to do with it
- Update the app, then ask your Bot to find a product. You approve any order before it's placed.
- To pay with Shop Pay, open the Vault's Payments tab and connect it. New to the Vault? Start with Set up your Bot's Vault: save a login, a card and your address.
- Ask your Bot to look up the price and renewal date of a subscription you name. It confirms with you before it changes anything.
- If you made a routine in a new Bot's first chat, check that its times look right after you update.
