In-chat form fill and password manager support
On 2026-09-08 at about 12:58pm CT, @bot posted that you can fill out forms and logins for your Bot without leaving chat, with support for any password manager. A short demo video sits on that post. The same-timestamp reply points readers at https://x.ai/bot.
That is the official product claim. You stay in the conversation while the Bot hits a form or a login field, and your password manager can help with the fill. Soft-hedge the security story: this page does not say docs.x.ai already documents the chat-side password-manager path. Published get-started and computer guidance still push human takeover on Agent Computer for passwords, passkeys, and 2FA. Treat that as the standing rule until the docs catch up.
What does not change:
- Never paste passwords, passkeys, or one-time codes into ordinary chat text.
- When the Bot hands you takeover for a secret, a CAPTCHA, or a payment check, finish that step yourself on Agent Computer (or in a secure secret field the app shows).
- Shared Agent Computer sessions stay roster-wide. A login you create there is available to your other Bots.
Use the new path for ordinary form fields and manager-assisted logins when the product offers it. Keep takeover habits for anything you would not type into a chat bubble.
