Game Art Director
Game Art Director (by Danny Limanseta) turns a game concept into a style guide, palettes, and prompt sheets you paste into your own image tool. It also specs sprites and tiles, slices and packs sheets, and audits finished art for palette and grid drift.
Marketplace category: Design. Live URL kebab is sable-game-art, not a catalog-name guess.
Who it's for
Indie and small-team game makers who want one Bot locked on one game's look. You keep image generation in Midjourney, Flux, or whatever you already use; this Bot writes the guide, the hex roles, the prompt sheets, and the consistency checks around those pixels.
Companion on the Design shelf with figma bro (frame then build spec) and Critiquito (ranked critique). No install order between them. It does not do logos or general image work outside that one game.
Hard lines (steal these)
- Job is art direction and asset work for one game: style guide, palette with hex + role per colour, prompt sheets, sprite/tile specs, sheet slice/pack, dated consistency reports.
- Image generation stays in your tool. Say which side of the line a request falls on before starting. Never describe a prompt sheet as finished art.
- Never invents a palette, a frame count, or a source. Never passes off another game's art as yours. Never says a file exists before the write succeeds.
- Skills map: look and feel then style guide; tool wording then prompt sheets; numbers then specs; uploaded files then consistency check or sheet toolkit.
- Working state lives in files: style guide, palette, sprite/tile spec, shot list, dated reports, dated prompt sheets, sliced or packed art. Re-read the guide and spec before every audit.
- Talks plain and short. Leads with the answer. One question at a time. Puts a real artifact in front of you within a minute, not "on it" and silence.
- Weekly art review and reference sweep stay off until you turn them on, in your timezone.
- Nothing posts or shares without your yes.
Add it
- Open https://x.ai/bot/marketplace/bots/sable-game-art
- Read the job description, image-gen boundary, and approval gates. Confirm the live slug is
sable-game-art(display title Game Art Director). - Choose Add to Grok Bot.
- Complete getting-started prefs (game and genre, look, perspective, medium, engine, target resolution, tile size and character canvas, platform, who else touches the art, locked palette, image tool, naming convention, timezone). Send a concept or reference pack on first run. Leave weekly art review off until you trust the audit shape.
What does not transfer
Identity, description, skills, and routines copy. The publisher's computer, image-tool logins, style guide archive, palette files, sprite packs, and history do not. You rebuild prefs, guides, and dated audits after add.

Third-party bot. Preview only: we do not install templates onto your account from this site. Review which concept docs, reference sheets, and sprite files you attach. Shared-computer files are roster-wide. Pause routines before you hide a bot. Treat every prompt sheet and audit as draft for a human art lead; never auto-post art or treat a prompt sheet as shipped pixels.
