@bot QoL: inline drafts, mobile file share, 20+ languages
On 2026-09-09 at about 1:52pm CT, @bot posted a quality-of-life thread. On 2026-09-10 at about 8:20am CT, Elon amplified that thread with a short "Grok @Bot" quote. Three beats are net-new versus the Sep 7 @benln five-day ship list already on this site:
- Inline draft messages for approve-before-send. You can ask your Bot to draft a message inline, then approve it before it goes out.
- Share a file directly with Grok Bot on mobile. Mobile share sheet into Bot, no desktop detour for that handoff.
- Support for over 20 languages.
Soft-hedge the docs: this page does not say docs.x.ai already documents the inline draft-before-send path or mobile file share. Treat the @bot thread as the product claim until docs catch up.
The same thread also packages items already covered in the earlier five-day ship list: native iPad app (with App Store link), one-click account switch, app performance (with a @poteto pointer), and harness usage efficiency (average ~10% more included usage, up to ~35% for heavy users, with a @jediahkatz pointer). Soft-hedge those percentages as author-reported. For the prior staff rollup, keep Five-day ship list as the detail spine; this page is the official @bot packaging plus the three net-new beats.
If you only try one thing after reading: ask a Bot to draft an outbound message inline and approve it yourself before send. Soft-check mobile file share on the device you actually use, and leave language prefs to your account settings.
