Galaxy SDR use cases: prospect, sequence, research, draft
SDR work on Galaxy Day 2 showed up as four named use cases, a GTM bot roster, and a short wrap on how the bots should talk to each other.
Segment timing on the main X broadcast: use-cases slide about 4:33 CT, wrap about 5:05 CT. Simon Lackowski was scheduled on x.ai/galaxy; the on-stream name was not confirmed on chrome, so this page hedges the host.
Four SDR use cases (slide)
- Prospecting - ICP to titles via web-search enrichment
- Sequencing - CSV/XLSX inputs with a custom adaptable sequence
- Account Research - funding and job-posting signals
- Drafting Copy - Gmail sync so outbound sounds like the user
Steal the jobs as a checklist. Soft-check enrichment and Gmail sync against the connectors you actually authorize.
Adjacent Sales context (same afternoon)
Just before the SDR slide, Sales on the main stream showed a "Why Grok Bot" framing (Easy as iMessage, Always-on agents, Uses your tools, Finishes the work, Shareable Templates) and an Olive GTM workspace with Cursor outreach to 16 contacts across Candlewick Labs, Silverpine, Maple Circuit, and Bright Harbor (unsent drafts). Treat those company names as demo labels on stream, not as Guru-verified customers.
Bot roster visible in the SDR demos
Around 5:00 CT the stream showed a roster that included:
- Account/Company Research
- Web Search
- Voice of Customer
- Usage
- Simon Seller
Earlier Create Bot / GTM menu UI also appeared (~4:48 CT). Soft-hedge names as slide-visible roster labels.
What we learned (SDR wrap)
The wrap slide framed three lessons:
- End-to-end workflows - keep prospect -> research -> sequence -> draft in one connected path
- Bot-to-bot communication - let specialist bots hand work across, instead of stuffing every job into one bot
- Intentional prompting - write the ask so the next bot (or human) can act without a re-brief
If you're building your own SDR pack, start with one use case, prove the handoff, then add the next bot. Soft-check approval boundaries before any send leaves Draft.
